I am very pleased to present this edition of the College Connection. With limited opportunity to reconnect over the past 12 months, I hope that the stories of your fellow alumni and current school happenings help in some small way to keep you connected.
In 2021 we collectively look forward to celebrating a defining moment in our history, our 30 year anniversary. 2021 marks the first year, the students and staff of CBC Warrnambool and St Ann’s College united under the banner of Emmanuel College. All alumni are invited and encouraged to join us to celebrate this milestone. A full list of events can be found here, but for the latest information go to emmanuel.vic.edu.au/30yearevents
Helping us to first recognise how far the College has come in 30 years, was the Class of 1991’s College Captain, Jeremy O’Brien. Jeremy joined us at our first whole school assembly for the year where he highlighted some of the significant moments of 1991 and shared with us a bit about what he has been doing since. Thank you Jeremy!
The Emmanuel Alumni Network has now been formalised with our first Chairperson elected at a meeting at the end of 2021. Mr Kevin Chiller, of the CBC Class of 1967 has been appointed to lead the group that works to support the College in fostering a lifelong connection with our alumni. With all going well from a restrictions perspective, we should start to see even more opportunities to reconnect and network with the alumni community and the College itself. The group is looking for a new member, so if you are interested in being involved, please contact me for more information.
Enjoy!
