The Class of 2013 slipped in their 10-year reunion just before Christmas last year, Saturday 23rd of December, and drew together a huge number of their classmates from all over Australia to the Laneway Bar. Led by 2013 College Captain, Matthew Bushell, who worked with the old leadership team to soundboard ideas and create the perfect event for all.
The generosity and work of fellow classmate Paddy O’Brien was also integral in getting the event together. His venue, the Laneway Bar, was the perfect setting for everyone to meet, have a drink, reminisce, and discover other’s adventures. The weather also turned it on, adding to the atmosphere of the al fresco venue.
The dedication to attend was impressive. Alumni joined in from all around the country, flying in from Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales - with one even flying in from Tokyo! Another amazing example was the classmate who squeezed in the round trip from Geelong between shifts at work on the Saturday and the Sunday.
With so many people to share stories or a laugh with, the event that started early afternoon, quickly became night. “The reunion was great! It was great to see people that you haven’t seen for ages, and it was easy to connect with everyone. You got so engrossed in conversations with people, you didn’t realise the time passing. It was all worthwhile.” Matthew said.
